Jonghyeong Park (Justin), from South Korea, is an incoming graduate student of Development Studies at the Graduate Institute Geneva (IHEID). He has recently completed an internship at the Asia Pacific Disaster Resilience Centre. Prior to this, he worked as a Humanitarian Affairs Assistant at the UN OCHA in Fiji and has also served for military service as auxiliary police in South Korea. He supported reporting humanitarian crisis situations and advocating for climate change-migration issues to the public. He has a broad background in climate-driven disasters, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. His passion lies in disaster risk reduction, emergency management, forced migration, monitoring and communication. With PBB, Justin aims to shed light on stories of refugees affected by climate change and natural disasters.
