People Beyond Borders is a non-profit registered in India with team members, collaborators and volunteers from diverse cultural and technical backgrounds working actively across the world, driven by core humanitarian principles and a peacebuilding lens to transform forced displacement. Visit Our People page to learn more about who we are and our existing leadership structure.
Our role is to facilitate, bridge and inspire young refugees, internally displaced groups, asylum seekers and migrant minorities to channel their resilience, skill-sets, creativity and well-being to empower themselves and those around them. Collaboration is an important value rooting all our work, whether it is to co-partner with our target groups or local peacebuilding and humanitarian organizations to coordinate our combined efforts and avoid duplication. At our Discover us page, you can understand more about our approaches and practices.
As a recently started endeavor, we are currently running on individual contributions, anonymous gifts, campaigns and volunteer networks to build our capacity.

Although the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, refugees and migrants are not the same. Refugees are people who have crossed borders and left their country of origin because of the fear of persecution, violence, political or social conflict that has resulted in disturbed or the absence of public order. Refugees are protected under international law as they are unable to return to their home country safely. Migrants can be defined as people who have left their country of origin voluntarily to seek better opportunities.
