Sarita Kvam is a teacher, activist and visual artist, educated and trained at Barnard College, Columbia University and at The Student’s Art League of New York. Though Sarita resides in Washington DC, she has also lived in Bangladesh, India and Mexico. At Columbia University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and environmental science. Sarita has a combined six years of experience teaching visual arts and has exhibited her art work in Washington DC and New York City. As an activist, Sarita has worked with feminist, non-governmental organizations, including Semillas, The Azadi Project, and The Melanin Collective. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Art Therapy. At People Beyond Borders, Sarita is engaged with the Creative Trainings cluster.
