Apoorva Changedia, a transdisciplinary creative, received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019. With a practice grounded in experiential and socially-engaged design, her work involves socializing borders between people and places. In the process, she has collaborated with activists and designers to develop alternative education models, learning programs within prisons, designs for universal access and community engagement projects, including affordable housing and outlines for public spaces. In her designs, she focuses on tactile stimulation to gain a rich understanding of how people and nonhumans experience the world, one that has enabled her to reimagine physical spaces that they participate in. Apoorva is co-leading our creative training cluster while supporting the resource mobilization and grants cluster.
