He has a particular interest in interfaith engagement with a focus on South Asia.\u00a0 He has worked for different organisations on peacebuilding and humanitarian action.\u00a0 He currently works for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as the Manager of the Inclusion, Protection &amp; Engagement Unit. Amjad sits on the board of the Joint Learning Initiative for Faith and Communities, an alumni of the International Visitors Leadership Program and of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.\u00a0 He is a regular contributor to Fair Observer and New Order. He has been published in a number of journals, chapters in several books and published a book in 2008 entitled \u201cLessons from Aceh\u201d.
